Abstract
The chapter casts a spotlight on the experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, it parses the research that documents the distinctive impact that the pandemic had on sexual and gender minorities—in terms of health, economics, and sexual behavior—with a particular eye to the role of intersecting factors in magnifying risks and adverse effects. The chapter provides tools to assess these effects, by isolating the unique experiences and risk factors that are relevant to these populations. Finally, the chapter outlines an agenda for repairing, minimizing, and preventing the harms of future pandemics on LGBTQ+ individuals.
